The Garden
A south-facing terrace that drops toward the water, built for lunches that run long and evenings that don't end on time.

The Garden
Laid out around 1900, not long after the house itself, and left mostly alone since. A mown lawn, low hedges, a handful of larches that hold the evening light longer than anything else here.
In summer the long table is set for lunch, and the bar moves outside once the evening allows it. Most guests end up treating it like a second living room — a book, a coffee, the lake doing the rest of the work.
The Terrace
Charcuterie, cheese, and small plates laid out as the light goes gold — the terrace set for whoever wanders down first.

When to visit
Lunch from noon on the terrace, aperitifs as the light goes gold, and the long table set until the evening cools.
